GoPro Fusion New Feature Action Camera With 360 Degree

Action camera manufacturer GoPro has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of a new 360-degree camera GoPro Fusion. The camera can shoot 360-degree videos of 5.2K resolution at up to 30 frames per second. However, the company has not revealed the price and availability of the device yet.

GoPro Fusion is designed to capture both standard and VR content. It's quite small and portable, and is compatible with all GoPro mounts and accessories.

The action camera comes with an 'OverCapture' feature that enables users to capture non-VR photos and videos in HD quality. It also allows users to capture everything and select the best frame later. GoPro has not revealed the specifications of the device.

GoPro Fusion is part of the company's pilot programme and professionals can sign up for it. The company will select pilot partners and test the 360-degree camera with them before launching it commercially in the second half of 2017.

Earlier this year, GoPro CEO Nicholas Woodman confirmed that the company will launch its Hero 6 action camera this year. It's expected to come with enhanced camera sensors and video recording capabilities. To recall, existing Hero 5 range devices can record up to 4K resolution videos at 30fps.
