Asus ROG GX800 World Most Powerful Gaming Laptop

Asus has launched what it claims to be the world's most powerful gaming laptop in India, the ROG GX800. The laptop has a hefty price tag of Rs 7,97,990 and is available on request, starting today.

Interested buyers can visit the company's India website for more information. The Taiwanese tech company originally launched the laptop in November last year.

Asus ROG GX800's highlight is the powerful NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 SLI graphics, with a Hydro Overclocking System liquid-cooling module. The company claims that the module cools down the system when extreme overclocking of the CPU and graphics cards takes place. The coolant is pumped and circulated around the CPU and GPUs before it returns to the cooling module, where two radiators help to dissipate heat.

Powered by Intel's 7th-gen Core i7 CPU, the GX800 is VR-ready and can provide smooth, stutter-free VR visuals at over 90fps. The VR capabilities are handled by NVIDIA's G-Sync technology. It is also claimed to be the world's first gaming laptop to provide 4K Ultra HD resolution gameplay.

The ROG GX800 includes a Mechanical Tactile Advanced Gaming (MechTAG) keyboard with programmable ROG Aura RGB LED effects for individual keys. The powerful laptop has a couple of 330W power adapters. Running Windows 10, the laptop supports up to 64GB of RAM, along with an HD camera.

For connectivity, the Asus ROG Gx800 features microphone jack (1), headphone jack (1), USB Type-C (1), USB 3.0 (3), HDMI (1), SD Card reader (1), mini Display (1) and Ethernet (1). In addition, the usual Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1 are there too. The laptop is backed by a 76Wh battery.

On a related note, Asus recently launched its ZenBook UX330 laptop at a starting price of Rs 76,990. The UX330 comes in two colours - Rose Gold and Quartz Gray, and is available across all major online and offline retailers in the country.
